Golf day helps out Wycombe Homeless Connection

Over the past few years, David White, our Joint Managing Director has given a lot of time to work with his business group and this year again he helped as the Golf day helps out Wycombe Homeless Connection to raise funds to support Wycombe Homeless Connection (WHC) in their continuing drive to ensure that anyone who is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless  and this year awin the High Wycombe area is given the support they need.

The challenges for the charity are constant all year round but are heightened during the winter months and every pound raised is essential. So, when the business club hold their annual golf day the funds generated are a massive help.

This year, despite the financial pressures for us all both as businesses and individuals the participants proved that their generosity has not been diminished and the day raised an incredible £4,500 and last week they had the pleasure in donating the cheque to Heather Morely of WHC at their recent breakfast event.

The money will help WHC prepare for the coming winter as the temperature gets colder and those who don’t have somewhere to live need more support to keep them safe.

It is also important to note that the charity does much more than just provide food and shelter, they deliver expert advice and help to those at risk of being made homeless to ensure that they keep a roof over their head, especially those who are vulnerable or have families.
