Mental Health Awareness Week even more poignant this year
Over the past year we have all realised how much of an impact mental health can have on us all both at home and at work in normal circumstances, let alone under the conditions we have all been living under for the last year.
Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week and we believe it is important for us all to help ensure that we are not only aware of the issue but know where to go if we or anyone else is struggling at all.
At Charterhouse we have worked with our team to ensure we give as much support as we can and are flexible to everyone’s needs and in support of the Mental Health Awareness week we want to help raise the profile of Mind in Harrow, who are one of 120 affiliated local Minds, members of Mind (the National Association for Mental Health) and are an independent charity.
They deliver all their services locally in Harrow and are responsible for raising the funds to run these services.
There is a lot of information on Mind and Mental Health Awareness Week on the Mind website but the overview says:
“Mental Health Awareness Week runs from Monday 10 May to Sunday 16 May 2021. This year, join the fight for mental health.
During this pandemic, millions of us have experienced a mental health problem, or seen a loved one struggle. And we’ve seen that the support we all need just isn’t out there.
For them, for us and for you – we must take this chance to step up the fight for mental health. That means fighting for change, for fairness, for respect and for life-changing support.”
As a business we are doing a lot to help raise the profile of mental health and will be doing more in the future, watch this space as there is more to come in the next couple of weeks. We urge everyone to look at what can be done to ensure everyone gets the support they need no matter how small that need is.
