The many ways to help St Luke’s Hospice
As many of you will know, St Luke’s Hospice Harrow is our Charity of the Year and since July we have been working with them to help raise funds, raise the awareness of the hospice and their work and our team also spent time volunteering with them.
In their latest newsletter, St Luke’s have highlighted many of the different activities that are taking place over the coming months. Leading the newsletter is an article highlighting the impact of the work that is done by the volunteers, in this case on their gardens and the incredible results they have achieved. To many spending time on the gardens might not seem to be the most important of projects but the importance of the space to patients who benefit hugely from having the quiet calm space cannot be overstated.
It was good to see that the hospice had won two awards for the gardens, a great tribute to the team of volunteers who have worked on the gardens over the year and this includes some of our team.
In addition to the gardens there are a number of other projects that are included in the newsletter including:
- Awards for the wonderful gardens
- Annual Walk to raise funds
- Live Music Fundraising Night
- Annual Golf Day results
- Light up a Life
- Annual Santa Dash fundraiser
